Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Remote Podcast Community Moderator to join our growing team. In this 100% remote role, you will be the bridge between our podcast creators and their listeners, fostering a vibrant, safe, and engaging online environment. You will actively participate in discussions, enforce community guidelines, resolve conflicts, and gather valuable feedback to help shape the future of podcasting on our platform. This role requires excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of online community dynamics, and a genuine love for podcasts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively monitor and moderate online communities across various platforms (forums, social media, comments sections) for Spotify podcasts.
  • Enforce community guidelines and terms of service to ensure a positive and respectful environment.
  • Engage with community members, respond to inquiries, and facilitate discussions to encourage participation.
  • Identify and escalate critical issues, trends, and feedback to relevant internal teams (content, product, legal).
  • Develop and implement proactive engagement strategies to foster community growth and loyalty.
  • Create and share engaging content, announcements, and polls to stimulate interaction.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, community best practices, and new podcast releases.
  • Collaborate with podcast creators and internal teams to support promotional activities and special events.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in online community management, moderation, or social media management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to adapt tone and style.
  • Demonstrated understanding of online community dynamics and conflict resolution.
  • Profound passion for podcasts and familiarity with the podcasting landscape.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote, distributed team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with various social media platforms and community management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience with crisis management and de-escalation in online environments.
  • Familiarity with Spotify's platform and podcast offerings.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Experience in data analysis related to community engagement metrics.
