Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori Teacher to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be deeply committed to the Montessori philosophy and possess the ability to create an engaging, prepared environment that fosters independence, concentration, and a genuine love for learning in children. This role involves guiding children through the Montessori curriculum, observing their progress, and collaborating with parents and staff to ensure holistic development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain an authentic Montessori prepared environment for children, ensuring all materials are accessible and in excellent condition.
• Deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons across all areas of the Montessori curriculum (Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, Culture).
• Observe and assess children's development, documenting progress and tailoring individual learning plans.
• Foster a nurturing, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages collaboration and problem-solving.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, conducting regular parent-teacher conferences.
• Collaborate with colleagues and administration to uphold the school's mission and educational standards.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and school events.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom.

Required Skills

• Montessori certification (AMI or AMS preferred) for the age group relevant to the position (e.g., Early Childhood/Primary).
• Minimum of 2 years of lead teaching experience in a Montessori classroom.
• Strong understanding and commitment to the Montessori philosophy and pedagogy.
• Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and observation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, or a related field.
• Experience with diverse student populations.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
