Job Description

As a Material Packer at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in our fulfillment center operations, ensuring that products are accurately and efficiently prepared for shipment. You will be responsible for packing customer orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring the quality and integrity of all items. This fast-paced role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a large team dedicated to delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently and accurately pack customer orders according to Amazon's quality and safety standards.
• Verify product quantities and ensure items match order specifications.
• Inspect products for defects or damage before packing.
• Operate various packing equipment and tools safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
• Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, including sorting, stowing, and picking.
• Report any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor.

Required Skills

• Ability to lift and move up to 49 pounds regularly, and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer skills for scanning and inventory management.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with inventory management systems or handheld scanners.
