Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Electrician with the 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations certification (BS 7671) to join our dynamic team in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in commercial and industrial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, safety regulations, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure optimal functionality and safety of all electrical installations. Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with the 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and local building codes.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, power outages, and system failures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Install and maintain lighting systems, control panels, and various electrical machinery.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management.
- Document all work performed, including repairs, installations, and maintenance.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required.
Required Skills
- Valid Electrician License for Texas.
- Proficiency in 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- Proven experience in commercial or industrial electrical installations and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
