Job Description
We are seeking a charismatic and skilled Bartender to join our dynamic team at Eko Hotels & Suites. The ideal candidate will be passionate about mixology, possess excellent customer service skills, and thrive in a fast-paced, upscale environment. You will be responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, engaging with guests, and ensuring an exceptional bar experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, wines, and spirits, according to established recipes and standards.
- Interact with guests, take orders, and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, adhering to all hygiene and safety standards.
- Manage inventory of bar supplies, including liquor, mixers, and garnishes, and report shortages to management.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Adhere to all local and national regulations regarding alcohol service, including checking IDs to verify legal drinking age.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
- Develop new and innovative drink recipes to enhance the bar menu.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Bartender in a high-volume restaurant or hotel bar
- Extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and cocktail recipes
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating change
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification from a reputable bartending school
- Experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems
- Knowledge of local and international drink trends
- Ability to speak multiple languages
