Job Description
We are seeking a warm, responsible, and experienced Babysitter to provide engaging and reliable childcare for families in the El Paso community. This role primarily involves caring for children in their homes, ensuring their safety, and facilitating age-appropriate activities. The ideal candidate will be flexible, possess excellent communication skills, and have a genuine passion for working with children.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise children of various ages in their homes, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Engage children in age-appropriate and stimulating activities, including play, crafts, reading, and outdoor recreation.
- Prepare simple meals and snacks for children, adhering to any dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Assist with homework and school projects as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized play area, tidying up after activities.
- Follow established routines for naps, bedtime, and meals.
- Administer basic first aid if necessary and communicate any incidents or concerns to parents promptly.
- Maintain open and clear communication with parents regarding their children's day and any pertinent information.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of professional or extensive informal babysitting/childcare experience.
- Demonstrated ability to create a safe, engaging, and positive environment for children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for children.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Experience with multiple children or specific age groups (infants, toddlers, school-age).
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) coursework or degree.
- Strong, verifiable references from previous childcare roles.
