Job Description
Target is seeking a meticulous and organized Remote Order Tracking Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team. In this 100% remote role, you will be responsible for monitoring the progress of customer orders from placement through delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to proactively resolve any issues that may arise during the order lifecycle. You will play a crucial part in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction by providing accurate tracking information and addressing inquiries effectively. The hourly salary for this position typically ranges from $18.00 to $25.00.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and track customer orders from initiation to delivery using internal systems and third-party logistics platforms.
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding order status, shipping updates, and potential delays.
- Collaborate with shipping carriers, warehouses, and customer service teams to resolve tracking discrepancies and delivery issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all order tracking activities and communications.
- Generate reports on order fulfillment performance and identify areas for process improvement.
- Respond to customer inquiries about order status via email or phone in a timely and professional manner.
- Escalate complex issues to senior team members or relevant departments as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a data entry, administrative, or logistics support role.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
