Job Description

Life Time is seeking a passionate and certified Yoga Instructor to join our dynamic team in Memphis, TN. This unique opportunity includes visa sponsorship for qualified international candidates, reflecting our commitment to diverse talent and global wellness. As a Yoga Instructor, you will be responsible for leading engaging and safe yoga classes for members of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. You will foster a welcoming and inclusive environment, inspiring members to deepen their practice and achieve their personal wellness objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of various yoga styles, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to contribute to a thriving fitness community.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver safe, effective, and inspiring yoga classes (e.g., Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative) to members of varying fitness levels.
• Demonstrate proper yoga postures and provide clear, concise verbal cues and modifications.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and motivational class atmosphere.
• Maintain a clean and organized yoga studio space.
• Engage with members before and after classes, providing personalized feedback and building rapport.
• Stay current with industry trends, continuing education, and best practices in yoga instruction.
• Adhere to all Life Time policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
• Participate in studio events, workshops, and team meetings as required.
• Assist members with proper equipment usage and studio etiquette.

Required Skills

• Minimum 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) certification from a recognized institution.
• Proven experience teaching various yoga styles to diverse populations.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and safe sequencing.
• Ability to adapt instruction to accommodate different fitness levels and physical limitations.
• A genuine passion for yoga and a commitment to promoting health and wellness.
• Eligibility for visa sponsorship (details will be discussed during the interview process).

Preferred Qualifications

• 500-hour YTT certification or advanced specialized yoga certifications.
• Experience with multiple yoga modalities (e.g., hot yoga, aerial yoga, meditation).
• First Aid and CPR/AED certification.
• Prior experience working in a large fitness facility or wellness center.
• Experience with online or virtual class instruction.
