Job Description

SystemSpecs Limited is seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join our intensive Web Developer Apprenticeship program in Dala, Kano. This is an incredible opportunity for aspiring developers to gain hands-on experience, learn from industry experts, and contribute to real-world projects. As an apprentice, you will immerse yourself in the full software development lifecycle, focusing on front-end and back-end web technologies. You will work closely with our experienced development teams, receive mentorship, and acquire the practical skills necessary to launch a successful career in web development. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of web applications using modern frameworks and tools.
• Collaborate with senior developers to understand project requirements and contribute to design discussions.
• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code for both front-end and back-end components.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging processes to ensure high-quality software.
• Learn and apply best practices in software development, including version control, agile methodologies, and responsive design.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing applications and explore new technologies.
• Attend training sessions, workshops, and mentorship meetings to enhance technical skills and professional growth.

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, PHP).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a logical mindset.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• A strong portfolio of personal projects, even small ones, is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Basic knowledge of database concepts (SQL).
• Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
• Understanding of responsive design principles.
