Job Description
We are seeking motivated and reliable Warehouse Support Staff to join our team in Richmond, VA, with an immediate start available. This is a crucial role responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our fulfillment center. You will be involved in various aspects of warehouse work, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping products to customers, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and contributing to our commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against shipping documents.
- Accurately pick and pack products according to customer orders.
- Prepare items for shipment, including labeling and loading onto delivery vehicles.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks (training provided if necessary).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity goals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues, escalating complex problems to supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 49 lbs), and push/pull for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar fast-paced environment.
- Experience operating material handling equipment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
