Job Description
Join the UPS team in Laval as an entry-level Warehouse Shipper / Receiver. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in logistics with no prior experience required. You will be responsible for the efficient handling of incoming and outgoing packages and freight, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips, and report discrepancies.
- Accurately sort, scan, and stage packages for outbound delivery or storage.
- Load and unload trucks using manual and powered equipment (training provided).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist with inventory counts and quality control checks as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 70 lbs (32 kg) repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading labels and counting.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED).
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Previous experience with manual pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment (an asset, but not required).
