Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Warehouse Reach Truck Operator to join our dynamic team in Sherbrooke. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating reach trucks to safely and efficiently move, stack, and retrieve merchandise within our busy distribution centre. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will ensure the smooth flow of goods, contributing directly to our operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate reach trucks and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, stack, and retrieve products.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Accurately pick, pack, and put away inventory according to established procedures.
- Ensure proper product rotation and organization within the warehouse.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Required Skills
- Valid certification for reach truck operation.
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating reach trucks in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with warehouse work.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Familiarity with various types of material handling equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in French and English.
