Job Description
Join the Amazon team as a Warehouse Picker and play a crucial role in our fulfillment center operations. We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented individuals who are ready to hit the ground running. In this immediate start position, you will be responsible for accurately selecting customer orders, ensuring packages are prepared efficiently for shipment, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This is an on-site position at our facility in Omaha, Nebraska, offering a dynamic and fast-paced work setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick customer orders using handheld scanners and other equipment.
- Pack and label items for shipment according to Amazon's quality standards.
- Receive and store inventory, ensuring proper placement and organization.
- Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts or reach trucks, if certified.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse cleanliness.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity and quality targets.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by supervisors.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 49 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills for operating handheld scanners.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Experience with inventory management systems.
