Job Description
Are you ready for an immediate start in a fast-paced environment with good pay? Amazon is hiring dedicated and energetic Warehouse Order Pickers to join our team in Charlotte, NC. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive their orders quickly and accurately. You will be responsible for selecting items from warehouse shelves, preparing them for shipment, and maintaining an organized workspace. This is a full-time, on-site position offering competitive hourly wages and comprehensive benefits. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently in a high-volume setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and retrieve customer orders from warehouse shelves using various equipment, including handheld scanners.
- Verify product accuracy, quantity, and quality against order forms.
- Prepare items for shipment by packing them securely and labeling them correctly.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (training provided if necessary).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity and quality targets.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items weighing up to 49 pounds regularly.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, with varying temperatures.
- Basic computer proficiency for using scanning devices and internal systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics environment.
- Experience with inventory management systems or RF scanners.
- Ability to operate a forklift or other heavy equipment (certification a plus).
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
