Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Operatives to join our dynamic team in Chicago. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to receiving, sorting, storing, and shipping products, ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock
- Pack and ship orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper handling of items
- Organize and maintain inventory in the warehouse, ensuring tidiness and accessibility
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) after proper training
- Perform quality checks on products and report any discrepancies or damages
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and operational procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity and quality targets
- Participate in regular inventory counts and assist with stock rotation as needed
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 49 pounds
- Comfortable standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and bending for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy for scanning and tracking inventory
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Experience using an RF scanner or similar warehouse technology
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
