Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Operative to join our team in Newark, NJ. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial role in our fulfillment center operations, ensuring the smooth flow of products from inbound to outbound. This includes receiving, picking, packing, and shipping customer orders accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming inventory items, verifying contents against packing lists and inspecting for damages.
- Pick and pack customer orders with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring correct items and quantities are selected.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Prepare items for shipment, including labeling, weighing, and ensuring proper packaging.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Assist with inventory control, including counting, locating, and relocating products within the warehouse.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity and quality targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 49 pounds regularly, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Capability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts that may be 10-12 hours long.
- Basic computer skills for scanning and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment center environment.
- Experience with inventory management systems.
