Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team in Hamburg, Germany. This on-site role is crucial for maintaining the smooth and effective flow of goods within our state-of-the-art warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will be proficient in English, possess a strong understanding of warehouse processes, and be committed to operational excellence and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Manage inventory control and conduct regular stock checks.
- Ensure accurate data entry for all incoming and outgoing shipments using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Implement and adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve operational issues and improve workflows.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of warehouse activities and inventory levels.
- Train and mentor junior warehouse staff as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Valid forklift operator license.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Vocational training or certification in logistics or supply chain management.
- Experience with SAP EWM.
- Basic German language skills are a plus.
- Knowledge of lean logistics principles.
- Experience working in a multinational logistics environment.
