Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Munich. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse operations, coordinating various activities from goods receipt to dispatch. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse processes, excellent communication skills in English, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be instrumental in optimizing workflows, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This is an on-site position vital for our supply chain success in Germany.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external transport providers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks to maintain accuracy.
- Implement and enforce warehouse safety procedures and quality control standards.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory, process orders, and generate reports.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Train and supervise warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to operational guidelines.
- Resolve operational issues and discrepancies promptly and effectively.
- Prepare and present operational reports to management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or supply chain management.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in German is a significant advantage.
- Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment.
