Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Material Handler to join our dynamic team in Sydney, Nova Scotia. This is an immediate start position for individuals who are physically fit, detail-oriented, and possess a strong work ethic. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of goods within our warehouse facility, contributing to the smooth operation of our supply chain and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and retrieve products.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper documentation and inspection of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Organize and maintain inventory in designated warehouse locations, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, adhering to quality control standards.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Proficiency in operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) with valid certification preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with inventory management systems (WMS).
  • First Aid and/or CPR certification.
  • Experience working in a large retail distribution center.
