Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Material Handler to join our dynamic team in Rutland, Vermont, with an immediate start. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain, ensuring the accurate and timely movement of products within our warehouse facility. This is a full-time, on-site position that requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and loading food products and supplies, contributing directly to our ability to deliver exceptional service to our customers. Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or using material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts).
• Receive incoming shipments, verify accuracy against packing lists, and report discrepancies.
• Organize and store inventory in designated locations, ensuring proper labeling and rotation.
• Pick and stage orders accurately and efficiently for outbound shipments, adhering to quality control standards.
• Perform routine pre-shift inspections on equipment and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures, including those related to food safety.
• Assist with inventory counts and participate in cycle counting as required.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding product movement and potential issues.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout a shift.
• Proven ability to operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment (certification a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and inventory management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, physical environment.
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP).
• Previous experience in food service distribution.
