Job Description

UPS is seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Material Handler to join our dynamic team in San Francisco, CA. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and processing of materials within our state-of-the-art warehouse facility, ensuring smooth operations and timely dispatch of goods. This is an immediate start position for individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious, and ready to contribute to a world-class logistics operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or using material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store).
• Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing materials, identifying and reporting discrepancies.
• Organize and maintain inventory in a neat and accessible manner.
• Prepare orders for shipment, including picking, packing, and labeling according to specifications.
• Operate scanners and other warehouse management systems to track inventory.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Required Skills

• Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar warehouse role (minimum 6 months).
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 70 lbs) and perform physical tasks repeatedly throughout a shift.
• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.
• Basic understanding of inventory control principles.
• Excellent physical condition and stamina.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification or demonstrated experience operating other material handling equipment.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Valid driver's license.
• Prior experience in a logistics or shipping environment.
