Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Material Handler to join our operations team in Vancouver, British Columbia. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of goods within our fulfillment centre. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and dispatching products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at every stage. You will operate various types of equipment and utilize technology to manage inventory and fulfill customer orders. This is an immediate start position for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to upholding Amazon’s high standards of operational excellence and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy of shipments.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, colour, or product code.
  • Pick orders from stock and place them on pallets or shelves, or transport them to the packing station.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform daily cycle counts and inventory management tasks to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare orders for shipment by packing, wrapping, and labelling according to company standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as required, including loading and unloading trucks.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment (certification preferred but not required for entry-level).
  • Basic computer navigation and data entry skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar environment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Valid forklift operator's license or certification.
  • Proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
