Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive English-Speaking Warehouse & Logistics Specialist to join our dynamic team in Hamburg. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehousing and distribution activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, from receiving and dispatching goods to inventory management and order fulfillment, all while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods accurately, ensuring proper documentation.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments according to customer orders and delivery schedules.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and system updates.
- Identify and report discrepancies or damages in inventory or shipments.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., transport, customer service) to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Assist with general warehouse organization and cleanliness.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) – German language skills are not required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (minimum 1 year).
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator license (Staplerschein) in Germany or equivalent.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP software (e.g., SAP).
- Knowledge of international shipping procedures and documentation.
- Completed vocational training in logistics or a related field.
