Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Warehouse & Logistics Operations Associate to join our team in Hamburg. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods within our state-of-the-art logistics facility. The ideal candidate will be proficient in English, as no German language skills are required for this position. You will be an integral part of our operations, handling various tasks from inventory management to coordinating shipments and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
- Perform inventory control activities, including cycle counting and stock reconciliation.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification required or willingness to obtain).
- Prepare shipping documentation and coordinate with carriers for timely dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Monitor stock levels and report any discrepancies or potential shortages.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks and containers.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and resolve operational issues.
- Communicate effectively in English with colleagues and external partners.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal, C1 level or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items, and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Valid work authorization for Germany.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift operator certification.
- Experience with SAP or other major WMS (Warehouse Management System).
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations.
- Previous experience working in a multinational or diverse team setting.
