Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and motivated Warehouse Operatives to join our busy fulfillment center in Manchester. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be an integral part of our logistics team, responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of products from receipt to dispatch. This role involves a variety of tasks crucial to our operations, including picking, packing, sorting, and shipping customer orders. Key Responsibilities

• Receive and process incoming stock and materials, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Pick and pack customer orders with precision and efficiency according to established procedures.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and procedures.
• Operate various types of warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) as required, after proper training.
• Assist with inventory counts and quality control checks to ensure product integrity.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity and operational goals.
• Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring they are securely packaged and correctly labeled.

Required Skills

• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items weighing up to 15kg for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar operational environment.
• Experience operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as powered pallet trucks or forklifts (certification not required, training will be provided if necessary).
• Familiarity with inventory management systems.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving.
