Job Description
Amazon is seeking dedicated and reliable Warehouse General Laborers to join our fast-paced fulfillment center in Reno. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verify contents against packing lists, and report discrepancies.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently, preparing them for shipment.
- Operate various warehouse equipment safely, including pallet jacks and hand trucks (training provided).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and participate in quality control checks.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily production goals and deadlines.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 49 pounds regularly, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent reliability and punctuality.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar fast-paced environment.
- Experience with RF scanners or warehouse management systems.
- Ability to adapt to changing work priorities and thrive in a dynamic setting.
