Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse General Hand to join our dynamic team in Moncton. This is an immediate start opportunity for an individual who is eager to contribute to the smooth operation of our busy distribution centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving, sorting, storing, and dispatching goods, ensuring all processes are carried out safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against shipping documents.
- Sort, label, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently for outbound shipping.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification an asset).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper securing of goods.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to the job site.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Forklift certification and experience operating powered industrial trucks.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems.
