Job Description
We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Warehouse General Hands in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador. This is an immediate start, full-time position crucial to maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our distribution operations. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to receiving, storing, and distributing goods within our fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments of goods and materials.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently for outgoing shipments.
- Load and unload trucks using manual and power equipment as required.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform inventory counts and assist with stock rotation.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in various temperatures (e.g., cooler/freizer sections if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or general labour role.
- Experience operating power equipment (e.g., electric pallet jack, forklift certification is a bonus but not required).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
