Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as a Warehouse General Hand in our Baltimore fulfillment center. This entry-level position is perfect for those looking to start a career in logistics and supply chain. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to receiving, storing, picking, and packing products, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery to customers. We welcome beginners and provide comprehensive training to help you succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming shipments and verify contents against packing lists.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, or product code.
- Pick orders from stock and place them on pallets or into boxes for shipment.
- Pack and label items for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks (training provided).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines and procedures.
- Perform inventory counts and assist with stock rotation as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity and quality goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
- Comfortable working in an environment with varying temperatures, loud noises, and fast-paced operations.
- Basic computer navigation skills (for scanning and system updates).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts or order pickers.
