Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team in New Kingston. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our distribution processes, ensuring timely and accurate handling of goods. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, physically capable, and detail-oriented individual ready to contribute to a fast-paced environment with immediate start availability for various shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments, verifying contents against packing lists and inspecting for damages.
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for outgoing shipments, ensuring correct item counts and proper packaging.
• Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas, ensuring optimal space utilization and easy accessibility.
• Safely and efficiently operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification is a plus) to move and store materials.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in reconciliation processes to maintain accurate stock records.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment at all times, strictly adhering to all company safety protocols and procedures.
• Promptly report any discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to the warehouse supervisor.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to achieve daily operational goals and meet deadlines.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned by management to ensure overall efficiency.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Warehouse Associate or similar role (1+ year preferred).
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
• Basic math and literacy skills for inventory counting, documentation, and record-keeping.
• Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification or experience operating other warehouse machinery.
• Experience with inventory management systems (WMS).
• Prior experience in the food and beverage distribution industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
