Job Description
Join the Amazon team as a Warehouse Associate in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, and become an essential part of our fast-paced fulfillment network. We’re hiring for both day and night shifts, offering flexibility to fit your lifestyle. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in preparing customer orders, from receiving products and picking items to packing and shipping. This physically active role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and stow products, ensuring accurate inventory placement
- Pick customer orders from inventory, ensuring correct items and quantities
- Pack and label shipments for delivery, meeting quality and efficiency standards
- Load and unload trucks, manually or with equipment, safely and efficiently
- Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts or pallet jacks, if certified and required
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures within the warehouse environment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 49 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
- Comfortable working at heights up to 40 feet (with equipment)
- Ability to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer navigation skills (for scanning and tracking)
- Commitment to safety and teamwork
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment center environment
- Experience with RF scanners or warehouse management systems
- Ability to adapt to changing work priorities and assignments
