Job Description
Join the Amazon team as a dedicated Warehouse Associate in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We are looking for energetic and reliable individuals to contribute to our fast-paced and efficient fulfillment operations. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products, ensuring that customer orders are processed accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming shipments and scan product into designated locations.
- Pick and pack customer orders according to quality standards and productivity targets.
- Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts or pallet jacks, if certified.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Perform inventory counts and assist with cycle counting as needed.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Cross-train in multiple areas of the warehouse as required.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
- Ability to work in an environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and work areas.
- Comfortable working at heights up to 40 feet (with appropriate safety equipment).
- Basic computer navigation skills.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work day or night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or production environment.
- Experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT) or material handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes quickly.
