Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests warmly, escorting them to their tables and presenting menus.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all special requests and dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, adhering to Jumeirah's high service standards.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond to inquiries or concerns promptly and courteously.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including table setting, condiment replenishment, and clearing used dishes.
• Process guest payments accurately and handle cash and credit card transactions responsibly.
• Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service flow.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
• Actively upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance the guest experience.

Required Skills

• Previous experience as a Waiter or Waitress in a reputable hotel or restaurant setting (minimum 1 year).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong customer service orientation with a pleasant and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service, including menu items and wine pairings.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospitality-related certifications or vocational training.
• Experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment.
• Knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems.
• Proficiency in a second language (e.g., Arabic, Russian, Mandarin).
