Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Waiter/Waitress to join our dynamic team in Sharjah. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent food and beverage service to our guests, ensuring an unforgettable dining experience. Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus clearly, providing detailed information when asked (e.g., about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies).
- Prepare tables for meals, including setting up linens, silverware, and glassware.
- Serve food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery.
- Check customers’ IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for alcoholic beverages.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and address any guest requests.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Process payments and operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area throughout your shift.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with other restaurant staff to ensure a seamless dining experience.
Required Skills
- Proven work experience as a Waiter or Waitress in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations and customer service principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment
- Knowledge of multiple languages (e.g., Arabic, Russian, Hindi)
- Certification in food safety and hygiene
