Job Description
Anthropologie is seeking an innovative and passionate Visual Merchandiser to join our creative team in Burlington, VT. This role is crucial in bringing our brand aesthetic to life within the store environment, creating inspiring and immersive experiences for our customers. The Visual Merchandiser will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing compelling visual displays that reflect our brand identity, drive sales, and engage our target audience. Key Responsibilities
- Execute all visual merchandising directives provided by the corporate team with precision and creativity.
- Plan and implement in-store displays, window presentations, and product arrangements to maximize visual impact and sales potential.
- Interpret current fashion and home décor trends to develop engaging and brand-appropriate visual stories.
- Maintain a high standard of visual presentation throughout the store, ensuring all displays are clean, well-maintained, and consistent with brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with the store management team to align visual strategies with sales goals and promotional activities.
- Manage visual inventory, props, and fixtures, ensuring efficient use and organization.
- Train and mentor store associates on visual merchandising standards and best practices.
- Adapt visual displays to seasonal changes, new product arrivals, and special events.
- Monitor competitor visual merchandising trends and propose innovative ideas.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in visual merchandising, preferably in fashion, home goods, or a similar retail environment.
- Proven ability to create engaging and aesthetically pleasing visual displays.
- Strong understanding of retail trends, color theory, and spatial design.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail setting.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and arrange merchandise and fixtures (up to 30 lbs).
- Portfolio demonstrating visual merchandising work is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Visual Merchandising, Fashion Merchandising, Interior Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) for mood boards or planning.
- Experience with prop sourcing and budget management.
- Leadership experience within a visual merchandising team.
