Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Virtual Tech Project Support Assistant to join our remote team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and successful delivery of our technology projects by providing comprehensive administrative and coordination support. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced virtual environment, possess excellent communication skills, and have a foundational understanding of project management principles within a tech context. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to contribute from the comfort of your home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist project managers and technical teams in organizing and maintaining project documentation, including reports, plans, and schedules.
- Coordinate and schedule virtual meetings, workshops, and team collaboration sessions, including sending invites and managing attendance.
- Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and budgets, escalating potential issues to project leads as needed.
- Facilitate communication channels within the project team and with stakeholders, ensuring timely information flow.
- Help prepare presentation materials, status reports, and other project-related communications.
- Support the onboarding of new team members to project tools and processes.
- Perform light technical troubleshooting or escalate issues to the appropriate support teams.
- Manage and track action items, ensuring follow-up and completion.
- Assist with data entry and maintaining project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Confluence).
Required Skills
- Proven experience in an administrative or project support role, preferably in a tech-related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello) and virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote setting.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
