Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic Virtual Community Moderator to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and moderate user-generated content across various Buffer community platforms (forums, social media groups, comments sections) to ensure adherence to community guidelines.
  • Engage with community members in a positive, helpful, and professional manner, answering questions and facilitating discussions.
  • Identify and escalate sensitive issues or potential conflicts to relevant internal teams.
  • Proactively identify trends, feedback, and insights from the community to inform product development and content strategy.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of community guidelines and policies.
  • Help organize and promote online community events, webinars, or discussions.
  • Provide basic technical support or guidance to community members, directing complex issues to appropriate support channels.
  • Contribute to a knowledge base of FAQs and common solutions for community members.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong understanding of online community dynamics and best practices.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in challenging situations.
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying inappropriate content or behavior.
