Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and empathetic Veterans Claims Examiner to join our team in Las Vegas, NV. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and processing claims for various benefits submitted by U.S. military veterans and their dependents. You will ensure all claims adhere to established regulations, policies, and procedures, providing critical support to those who have served our nation. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to serving the veteran community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate complex claims documentation, medical records, and service history to determine eligibility for veterans' benefits.
  • Interpret and apply federal and state laws, regulations, and policies pertaining to veterans' benefits programs.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with veterans, their families, and representatives to gather necessary information or clarify claims status.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy in claim processing.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all claims, decisions, and communications in accordance with privacy and compliance standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation outlining claim findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate efficient claims resolution.
  • Stay updated on changes in veterans' benefits legislation and policies.

  • Prior experience working with veterans' benefits, claims processing, or government programs.
  • Knowledge of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) claims system and procedures.
  • Experience with medical terminology and reviewing medical records.
  • Military veteran status or direct experience working with the military community.
