Job Description

The University of Prince Edward Island invites applications for a dedicated and experienced University Professor to join our esteemed faculty. This pivotal role involves delivering high-quality teaching, conducting innovative research, and contributing to university service, all while based in our Summerside location. We are seeking a scholar with a strong commitment to student success, a robust research agenda, and a desire to contribute meaningfully to their discipline and the wider community. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging undergraduate and graduate courses in a specialized field, incorporating diverse pedagogical approaches.
• Supervise and mentor students, including academic advising, thesis supervision, and career guidance.
• Establish and maintain an active research program, secure external funding, and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and other scholarly outlets.
• Contribute to curriculum development and program innovation within the department and faculty.
• Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees and service activities.
• Engage with the local and professional community through outreach initiatives and collaborations.
• Stay current with advancements in the field and integrate new knowledge into teaching and research.

Required Skills

• PhD or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant discipline.
• Demonstrated excellence in university-level teaching.
• Proven track record of scholarly research and publications.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
