Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced English-speaking Travel Consultant to join our vibrant team in Munich. You will be instrumental in crafting personalized travel itineraries, advising clients on destinations, accommodations, and activities, and ensuring a seamless booking experience. Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their travel preferences, budgets, and requirements.
- Design and book customized travel packages, including flights, hotels, tours, and transportation.
- Provide expert advice on destinations, travel restrictions, visa requirements, and local attractions.
- Manage bookings, amendments, and cancellations efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Stay updated on travel industry trends, new destinations, and supplier offerings.
- Process payments and handle financial transactions in compliance with company policies.
- Resolve any travel-related issues or emergencies for clients promptly and professionally.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Travel Consultant or in a similar role within the travel industry.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken (C1/C2 level preferred).
- Strong geographical knowledge and understanding of popular travel destinations.
- Proficiency in using GDS (Global Distribution System) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certification or diploma in tourism, travel, or hospitality management.
- Knowledge of an additional European language (e.g., French, Spanish, Italian).
- Experience with CRM software and travel booking platforms.
- Familiarity with German travel regulations and consumer protection laws.
