Job Description
As a Transport Manager at XPO Logistics, you will be instrumental in overseeing our transportation operations in Albany, NY. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong understanding of logistics, regulatory compliance, and team management. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and cost-effective movement of goods, optimizing routes, managing fleet resources, and leading a team of drivers and operational staff. Key Responsibilities

- Oversee driver recruitment, training, performance management, and disciplinary actions.

- Collaborate with other departments, including warehouse operations and customer service, to ensure seamless logistics flow.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and other software to track shipments, manage inventory, and generate reports.
- Address and resolve any transportation-related issues or customer complaints promptly and effectively.
- Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in transport or logistics management
- In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance
