Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Translator to join our dynamic team in Glasgow, Scotland. Key Responsibilities
- Translate documents, multimedia, and web content from source to target language with high accuracy and linguistic quality.
- Review and proofread translations by other linguists, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain consistency of terminology and style using CAT tools, glossaries, and style guides.
- Research technical and legal terminology to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and fellow linguists to ensure project success.
- Manage multiple translation projects simultaneously, meeting strict deadlines.
- Continuously improve linguistic skills and subject matter expertise.
- Participate in quality assurance processes and feedback loops.
Required Skills
- Native-level fluency in target language and excellent command of source language(s).
- Proven experience as a professional translator, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency with CAT tools (e.g., Trados Studio, memoQ, Phrase TMS).
- Exceptional written communication and grammar skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure.
