Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe audio and video files accurately and efficiently.
• Proofread and edit your own transcripts to ensure high quality and grammatical correctness.
• Meet given deadlines for transcription projects.
• Adhere strictly to GoTranscript's style guidelines and client-specific instructions.
• Utilize online transcription tools and resources effectively.
• Maintain confidentiality of all transcribed materials.

Required Skills

• Excellent command of the English language (grammar, spelling, punctuation).
• Strong listening skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Basic computer proficiency and reliable internet access.
• A working headset and comfortable typing speed.
• Commitment to accuracy and quality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with transcription software (e.g., foot pedal usage) is a plus, but not required.
• Familiarity with various accents and subject matters.
• Ability to type at least 40-50 words per minute.
• Experience with proofreading and editing.
