Key Responsibilities

• Actively participate in all classroom and behind-the-wheel training sessions as part of the AZ Truck Driver program.
• Learn and strictly adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company safety policies, and operating procedures.
• Practice and master pre-trip and post-trip inspections of commercial vehicles.
• Develop fundamental vehicle handling skills, including backing, maneuvering, and defensive driving techniques, under the guidance of certified instructors.
• Successfully pass all required written and practical exams to obtain the AZ (Class A CDL equivalent) license.
• Maintain accurate records of training hours and progress.
• Communicate effectively with instructors, mentors, and fellow trainees.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and professional conduct at all times.

Required Skills

• Valid state driver's license (non-CDL) for at least one year.
• Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new skills and regulations.
• Basic English communication skills (verbal and written).

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in a physically demanding role or outdoor work.
• Mechanical aptitude or basic knowledge of vehicle operation.
• Familiarity with the transportation or logistics industry.
