Job Description

We are seeking a talented and innovative Textile Designer to join our dynamic design team in Fresno, CA. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative professional passionate about home textiles, with a keen eye for color, pattern, and texture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing textile patterns and prints for our extensive range of home furnishings, including bedding, upholstery, rugs, and decorative accessories. This role requires a strong portfolio, proficiency in design software, and an understanding of textile manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities

• Research current market trends, color palettes, and textile innovations to inform new designs.
• Develop original textile prints and patterns for various product categories, adhering to brand aesthetics and seasonal themes.
• Prepare detailed design specifications, including color call-outs, repeat patterns, and print placements, for production.
• Collaborate closely with product development, merchandising, and sourcing teams to ensure design feasibility and quality.
• Manage multiple projects from concept through to final sample approval, meeting tight deadlines.
• Review and approve strike-offs, lab dips, and production samples, providing clear feedback to vendors.
• Maintain an organized digital library of textile designs, color standards, and material swatches.
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions and present design concepts to cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Stay updated on sustainable textile practices and incorporate them into design where applicable.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in textile design, preferably within home furnishings or apparel.
• Strong portfolio showcasing original textile prints and patterns.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for textile design.
• Excellent understanding of color theory, print techniques, and fabric construction.
• Ability to translate design concepts into production-ready artwork.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Textile Design or a related field.
• Experience with CAD software for textile design (e.g., NedGraphics, Lectra).
• Knowledge of sustainable textile materials and manufacturing processes.
• Experience working with international vendors and understanding of global sourcing practices.
• Prior experience with a major home furnishings or lifestyle brand.
