Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications equipment, including fiber optic, copper, and coaxial cables.
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve service issues efficiently.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and regular inspections of network infrastructure.
- Terminate and splice cables, install network hardware, and ensure proper signal levels.
- Provide exceptional customer service during field visits, explaining technical issues clearly and courteously.
- Document all work performed, including installations, repairs, and service calls.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while working in various environments.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency service outages as required.

Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Telecoms Technician or similar role.
- Strong understanding of telecommunications principles, including fiber optics, broadband, and IP networks.
- Proficiency in using various test equipment (e.g., OTDR, signal level meters, multimeters).
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or technical certification in Telecommunications, Electronics, or a related field.
- Experience with specific Cox Communications systems and technologies.
- Certifications such as BICSI, FOA, or similar industry-recognized credentials.
