Job Description
Salesforce is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Writer to join our dynamic product documentation team. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation that empowers our customers and partners to effectively utilize Salesforce products and features. Key Responsibilities
- Design, write, and update high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, release notes, and online help content.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and QA teams to understand product features and gather necessary information.
- Translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand language for various audiences, from developers to end-users.
- Ensure documentation adheres to established style guides, terminology, and content standards.
- Participate in product reviews and provide feedback on UI/UX, feature design, and overall usability.
- Manage documentation projects from inception to delivery, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Continuously improve documentation processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of our internal knowledge base.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer in the software industry.
- Proven ability to write clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation for diverse audiences.
- Expertise in documentation tools such as Confluence, MadCap Flare, Paligo, or similar.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Experience documenting cloud-based software or SaaS applications.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in English with excellent grammar and editing abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to learn complex technical concepts quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with API documentation tools (e.g., Swagger/OpenAPI).
- Familiarity with Salesforce platform products (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud).
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML, or Markdown.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Portfolio of technical writing samples demonstrating clear and effective communication.
