Job Description

Virginia Hospital Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Surgeon to join our esteemed medical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive surgical care to patients, from initial consultation and diagnosis through surgical intervention and post-operative management. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of surgical procedures as per specialty (e.g., General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, etc.) with precision and adherence to established medical protocols.
  • Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments, including patient history, physical examinations, and diagnostic interpretation.
  • Develop and implement individualized surgical treatment plans in consultation with patients and their families.
  • Provide comprehensive post-operative care, including monitoring recovery, managing complications, and coordinating rehabilitation.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient medical records.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and emergency surgical procedures as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with anesthesiologists, nurses, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and participate in medical staff meetings and committees.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements and best practices in surgical techniques and medical technology.

Required Skills

  • Medical Doctor (MD/DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited surgical residency program.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in a relevant surgical specialty.
  • Active, unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in the State of Virginia.
  • Demonstrated expertise in a broad range of surgical procedures within your specialty.
  • Exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Commitment to ethical medical practice and patient safety.
  • Eligibility for visa sponsorship and willingness to relocate to the USA.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fellowship training in a sub-specialty area.
  • Minimum of 5 years of post-residency surgical experience.
