Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join our dynamic team in Springfield, Missouri. This critical role is responsible for optimizing our supply chain operations, ensuring efficient flow of products from suppliers to our vast network of stores and distribution centers. The ideal candidate will possess strong data analysis skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze supply chain data, including inventory levels, demand forecasts, and logistics performance, to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce carrying costs, minimize obsolescence, and enhance delivery efficiency across our distribution network.
- Collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, distribution center operations, and store operations teams to improve end-to-end supply chain performance and foster cross-functional synergy.
- Utilize advanced analytical techniques and software tools for demand forecasting, supply planning, and inventory management to prevent stockouts and mitigate overstock situations.
- Leverage various software tools and systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, BI platforms) for data visualization, reporting, and predictive analytics to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and present regular, comprehensive reports on supply chain key performance indicators (KPIs) to management, highlighting performance against targets and recommending actionable insights.
- Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing supply chain resilience, implementing new technologies, and driving continuous process improvement and innovation.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in supply chain analysis, inventory management, logistics, or a similar analytical role within a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros, complex formulas, data modeling) is essential.
- Demonstrated experience with supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA) and/or Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for robust reporting and in-depth analysis.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex analyses to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related advanced discipline.
- Industry certifications such as CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management), or other relevant professional certifications.
- Extensive experience with various demand forecasting methodologies and advanced statistical modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Previous experience within the automotive aftermarket, retail, or a similarly complex, distribution-intensive industry.
