Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Summer Venture Capital Intern to join our dynamic team in Madison, WI. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the venture capital landscape, working alongside experienced professionals in evaluating investment opportunities, conducting market research, and supporting various stages of the investment process. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in startups, technology, and financial analysis, possessing a strong desire to learn and contribute to the venture capital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth market research and industry analysis to identify emerging trends and potential investment opportunities.
- Perform financial modeling and valuation analysis for prospective portfolio companies.
- Assist in due diligence processes, including reviewing business plans, financial statements, and management presentations.
- Prepare investment memos and presentations for internal review and investor meetings.
- Support the sourcing efforts by identifying and connecting with promising startups.
- Participate in team meetings, contributing insights and analysis.
- Develop and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs and other ecosystem participants.
